Born and raised locally, Eddie is passionate about North Oxfordshire. A lawyer by background, Eddie practised locally in Banbury, Brailes, Bicester and Towcester at small, rural practices before working in London.
Eddie knows Banbury and its surrounding parishes well and is standing for the new division of Cropredy & Hook Norton, which includes all the villages to the North and West of Banbury, at the next County Council elections on 1 May 2025. A District Cllr for Hook Norton (2022-) and a County Cllr in Banbury (2017-), Eddie leads the Conservatives in opposition to the Lib Dems on Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council, chairing both councils' budget scrutiny committees.
A passionate believer in improving efficiency and prioritising resources where they are needed most, he is deeply concerned about how our councils are being run by inexperienced, local Lib Dems. He wants to see more public money invested in our roads and in protecting vulnerable children and elderly residents, not on grandiose Council schemes of little or no benefit to hardworking people.
From overseeing Oxfordshire County Council's cost-saving back-office transformation programme (2018-2020) to initiating Cherwell District Council's HQ move from Bodicote to Banbury town centre (2023-4), Eddie gets things done.
