Additional local support will be available to help residents with the cost of living this winter.
Last month Conservative-controlled Cherwell District Council announced they would be issuing food vouchers to households in the District experiencing hardship.
The Council has now confirmed that £100 vouchers will be issued to households in receipt of housing benefit.
An initial fund of £250,000 has been increased to £354,200 which means that all 3542 households in receipt of housing benefit in Cherwell District (as of 5 October 2022) will receive this additional support.
Qualifying residents do not need to apply – the Council will contact all those eligible with instructions on how to access their vouchers by the end of this month.
