Congratulations to North Oxfordshire MP Victoria Prentis who has been appointed a Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Environment and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
DEFRA is responsible for safeguarding our natural environment, supporting our world-leading food and farming industry, and sustaining a thriving rural economy.
Speaking of her appointment Victoria said: “As a passionate environmentalist, farmer's daughter, and supporter of the rural economy, I am delighted that the Prime Minister has offered me this opportunity. I am determined to ensure that Britain remains a world-leader in farming and agricultural produce and practices and that we continue to lead global efforts to tackle the climate emergency.”
