Residents in Stoke Lyne can now upgrade to superfast broadband thanks to an extended rollout of the Better Broadband for Oxfordshire programme. In an ever-increasingly digital world, quick internet speeds are essential. Better Broadband for Oxfordshire is a partnership between Oxfordshire County Council, BT and BDUK (Department for Digital, Media, Culture and Sport). The aim of the programme is to install fibre broadband infrastructure in areas of market failure, enabling some 80,000 homes and businesses to access superfast broadband where this would not have been otherwise possible.
Councillor Ian Corkin, Conservative County Councillor for Stoke Lyne said: "The Parish Council have really focussed on this and I was delighted to work with them, and Oxfordshire County Council, to overcome significant access issues, bringing the benefits of superfast broadband to residents, homeworkers, businesses and students."
