The Conservatives excellent record on unemployment continues with the announcement today that unemployment fell, again, by another 75,000 to July. The rate remains at its lowest since 1975.
This continuing trend shows the strength and adaptation of the British economy under Conservative leadership; 3 million more people in work since 2010, youth employment reduced by over 40%, and the number of people in work rising in every region since 2010. In fact, Britain is now on course to have the highest employment rate in the Western world.
In North Oxfordshire, our unemployment rate continues to hover at less than 1%. The number of people on out-of-work benefits across the Banbury constituency is now 70% lower than it was in 2010.
A jobs revolution helping to deliver an economy, and a Country, that works for everyone.
