Great news today that the Government has given Oxfordshire County Council an extra £1 million to help tackle the County’s potholes.
We know residents are rightly concerned about the state of the County’s roads. The recent spate of harsh wintery weather has worsened local road conditions, but the Council is proactively increasing its pothole resource. Alongside the additional funding, the Council has increased the number of teams that carry out repairs, and have commissioned an additional ‘dragon patcher’ (so-called because of the fire-breathing nozzle it uses to dry out potholes) to inspect and fix the County’s rural road network which will come into use from mid-February.
