A pop-up vaccination centre will open at Banbury Town Hall next week to support the rollout of Covid vaccines in North Oxfordshire. Banbury Town Council approached local health authorities with an offer to use Town Council-owned buildings as vaccination hubs to help boost the number of appointments available locally. The clinic will open on Wednesday 29 December for approximately two weeks. Residents will be able to book appointments via the national NHS booking site with first, second, and booster doses all available.
Leader of Banbury Town Council, Kieron Mallon, said: “We at the Town Council have been concerned about the lack of vaccination appointments available locally. We know that residents have been directed to clinics in Oxford, Towcester, Stoneleigh even as far as Coventry for their booster jabs. We approached the local health authorities and offered our buildings as pop-up sites and I am pleased a clinic will be up and running at the Town Hall from next week. The Town Hall is an easy-to-get-to venue and I hope that residents take advantage of this service while it is available.”
