On Friday 5 May, local politicians gathered at Spiceball Leisure Centre in Banbury for the results of the Cherwell District Council and Bicester Town Council elections. It was a difficult day for North Oxfordshire Conservatives with 5 seats lost on the District Council - 2 to Labour in Banbury Calthorpe and Easington and Banbury Hardwick, 1 to the Greens in Bicester East and 2 to the Liberal Democrats in Adderbury, Bloxham and Bodicote and Bicester North and Caversfield. We were also reduced to 3 Councillors on Bicester Town Council and lost the Banbury Town Council by-election in Calthorpe South. Full details of the results can be found below:
