On Thursday 22 September, Andrew McHugh, Conservative candidate, was elected the new Cherwell District Councillor for Adderbury, Bloxham and Bodicote Ward. This was a successful defence of the seat for the Conservatives following the resignation of Nigel Randall.
Andrew, who was elected with a resounding majority of 729 votes, says: “I am delighted to have been elected District Councillor for the Adderbury, Bloxham and Bodicote Ward and thank the residents for putting their faith in me. I have thoroughly enjoyed the election campaign and would like to thank my opposition candidates for putting up a fair fight. We ran a positive campaign and I am now looking forward to getting started, and to working alongside my fellow District Councillors; Chris Heath and Mike Bishop, County Councillors; Arash Fatemian and Kieron Mallon and local residents to help make a positive difference to the communities of the Ward.”
