Bicester Conservatives statement on Bowmont Square land:
"We are concerned about the planned sale by auction of the Bowmont Square recreation land in west Bicester. The Town Council has confirmed that when the Greenwood estate was developed in the 1980s, conditions were placed on the amenity land by Cherwell District Council so it is imperative that these conditions are adhered to.
This particular piece of land has been used for recreation by local residents for decades. It is home to two children’s play areas and sports facilities. We will work with residents to defend this important green space as a matter of urgency so that it continues to be available for the community to enjoy for generations to come."
