Brought up in Banbury, David spent 17 years in the Royal Navy before returning to his hometown to join Kraft foods. He has lived in Bloxham for over 30 years. Since retiring David has worked supporting people with dementia. He also dedicates his time to community matters as a member, and now Chairman, of Bloxham Parish Council.
As a Parish Councillor, David has supported a second rebuild of Jubilee Hall, set up a Community Speedwatch Group and helped to progress traffic calming measures in the village. He has also helped to defeat speculative housing development, most recently the proposed build of 30 homes on Ells Lane.
David loves village life and can often be found discussing village matters with residents when out dog walking or having a coffee in the Chequer Tree Tea Room.
